IANDS - NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCE

Laurie was the first person that left me totally shaken. I made an instant emotional connection with Laurie that literally left me speechless. I could not speak, and any attempt to do so just ended with my emotions taking over, and the tears flowing uncontrollably. Her ability to portray and execute her story left me hopeful and inspired to continue my healing.

I met Laurie Boggs in October 2004. Laurie was speaking at the monthly IANDS (International Assoc. of Near Death Studies) meeting in Salt Lake City, UT. Listening to Laurie’s, tragedy, I realized that I had heard her story before. Her experience was eerily similar to mine – the events leading up to the accident, the premonitions, the trying to stop “fate”. I was involved in an automobile accident in December 1997, which claimed the life of my husband.

I had been attending the monthly IANDS meetings regularly since May of 1998 – and even though there were numerous speakers that I could identify with. Laurie’s demeanor was different, the connection is indescribable. I lived her story, every word of it. I was surprised by this, as I thought in the almost 6 years since my accident, that I had those emotions under control. I was wrong - very, very wrong.

After Laurie finished speaking, I wanted to desperately talk to her, but knew that I would not be able to carry-on a rational, coherent conversation. I wrote my name and number on a piece of paper – and handed it to her, asking her to call me. I was so happy when she called. Even though the circumstances that brought us together were tragic, I knew that she and I were meant to be friends. For the first time, I finally related with someone that truly understands me. She will never know how much she has helped me. Both Laurie & Biff have been a tremendous blessing in my life. I wish everyone will have the opportunity to hear Laurie’s inspirational story, insight and love for humanity.
